Every call to a forwarding number is logged in the portal with the caller, your virtual number, who answered, ring strategy, duration, status, cost and a recording player for answered calls. The Analytics page charts call volume, answer rate and spend over 7, 30 or 90 days, with a breakdown per number. All of it is also in the API.

## Call logs

Open **Call Logs** on [forwarding.edesy.in](https://forwarding.edesy.in). Each row shows:

| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Time | When the call came in |
| Caller | The real caller's number |
| Virtual Number | Your number that was called |
| Connected To | The forward-to number that answered, when known |
| Ring | The ring strategy: ring all at once or ring one by one |
| Duration | Talk time |
| Status | How the call ended (see below) |
| Recording | A player for answered, recorded calls |
| Cost | What the call cost, in INR |

## Call status

| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Completed | Answered and connected |
| No answer | The phones rang but nobody answered |
| Busy | The line was busy |
| Rejected | The person declined the call |
| Canceled | The caller hung up before anyone answered |
| Not reachable | The phone was switched off or out of coverage |
| Invalid number | The forward-to number does not exist or is incomplete |
| Network error | The telecom network did not connect the call. Usually temporary |
| Insufficient balance | Not placed because the wallet balance was too low |
| Failed | Edesy could not place the call. Contact support with the call ID |

The SIP response code is shown with the reason when the network gave one.

## Recordings

- Answered calls that were recorded show a player in the log.
- Recordings are kept in encrypted cloud storage. The play link is signed and valid for 1 hour, so it works in a browser without an API key. Fetch a fresh link rather than storing it.
- With the API, `recording_url` in the call log, or `GET /v1/forwarding/calls/:call_sid/recording` for one call. See [Call Logs API](https://edesy.in/docs/call-forwarding/api/call-logs).

## Analytics

Open **Analytics** for call volume, answer rate and spend. Choose 7, 30 or 90 days. You get:

- totals: calls, answered calls, failed calls, minutes and cost
- a day-by-day chart
- a per-number table with calls, answered, minutes, cost and answer rate

The dashboard home also shows usage totals and recent calls. With the API, see [Stats and Analytics](https://edesy.in/docs/call-forwarding/api/stats).

## FAQ

**Are call logs deleted with the rule?**
No. Deleting or turning off a forwarding rule keeps its call logs.

**Are all calls recorded?**
Only answered calls can have a recording. A call that has one shows a player in the log and a `recording_url` in the API. Calls nobody answered have no recording.

**Can I see who on my team answered?**
Yes, in **Connected To** (`connected_number` in the API) when it is known.

**Why does a call say Network error?**
The telecom network did not connect it. Retrying a few minutes later normally works.

**Can I download call logs?**
Use the [Call Logs API](https://edesy.in/docs/call-forwarding/api/call-logs) to page through calls and save them to your own system.
