# Config

> The Config (call settings) node sets the voice, language and call recording for a whole IVR Studio flow.

Source: https://edesy.in/docs/ivr/nodes/config

The Config node, shown as "Call settings", sets defaults for the whole call: the language for spoken prompts and speech recognition, the voice provider (ElevenLabs or Google), an optional voice ID, and whether to record the entire call. Place it right after Start so it applies everywhere. Say and Ask nodes can still override the language.

## Settings

| Field | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Voice & speech language | Account default, English (India) `en-IN`, English (US) `en-US`, English (UK) `en-GB`, Hindi `hi-IN`, Bengali `bn-IN`, Tamil `ta-IN`, Telugu `te-IN`, Marathi `mr-IN` | Account default |
| Voice provider | Account default, ElevenLabs, Google | Account default |
| Voice ID (optional) | ElevenLabs: an opaque voice ID. Google: a voice name such as `hi-IN-Standard-A` | Account default voice |
| Record the whole call | Checkbox | Off |

## Notes

- The voice and language from a Config node apply to every prompt in the flow, including menu prompts and re-asks.
- Changing the provider clears the account's default voice. Set a Voice ID, because voice IDs are specific to each provider.
- Recordings appear on the call in [Call Logs](https://edesy.in/docs/ivr/logs/call-logs). They are kept in encrypted cloud storage and played back through signed links.
