# Number Masking API

Connect two people on a phone call without either of them seeing the other's real number. Edesy's click-to-call masking API dials the first party, and when they answer, bridges the second party — both see a masked number as the caller ID.

## How it works

1. You call the **Initiate a Call** endpoint with two 10-digit Indian mobile numbers (Party A and Party B).
2. We dial **Party A** first. When they answer, we bridge **Party B**.
3. Both parties see the **masked number** as the caller ID — neither sees the other's real number.
4. You **poll the call status** (or subscribe to [webhooks](https://edesy.in/docs/number-masking/api-reference/webhooks)) and can **fetch the recording** once the call ends.
