# Voice API

The Edesy Voice API places and receives phone calls on Indian numbers from your own code. You send one `POST /v1/calls` request, and the call speaks text, runs VoiceML (JSON instructions), streams raw audio to your bot over a WebSocket, or follows a saved application. Calls cost Rs 0.50 per minute with a 60-second pulse, and unanswered calls are free.

| Media Streams | Bidirectional raw L16 PCM over WebSocket, 8 kHz or 16 kHz, for Pipecat or your own bot |
| Conversation Relay | Text in, text out bot protocol, compatible with Twilio ConversationRelay. Edesy runs STT, TTS, barge-in and DTMF |
| Phone numbers | Search and buy Indian mobile, landline, toll-free and 92-series numbers; route inbound calls to 11 kinds of target |
| Campaigns | Voice broadcast and agent dialer, CSV or API leads, AMD, DNC suppression, cost estimate |
