WhatsApp on an Edesy Number lets you run WhatsApp Business on an Indian virtual number, including a landline-style number that cannot receive SMS. You buy a number or use one you already have on Edesy, connect it to the WhatsApp Business Platform, and Edesy catches Meta's verification call and forwards it to your phone.

## FAQ

### Can I use WhatsApp Business on a virtual number in India?
Yes. Buy an Indian virtual number in the portal, or use one you already own on Edesy, and connect it to the WhatsApp Business Platform.

### How is a number without SMS verified?
Meta verifies by voice call. Edesy forwards that call from your virtual number to your phone so you can hear the 6-digit code.

### Do I need my own WhatsApp Business Account?
You need a WABA under a Meta business. Embedded Signup lets you pick or create one in a Facebook window, or you can enter an existing WABA's details.

### Is there an API?
Yes. `POST https://voice-api.edesy.in/v1/whatsapp/messages` sends messages, and webhooks deliver `message.received` and `message.status` events.

### Can several people reply from one number?
Yes. The shared inbox shows every conversation to your workspace, and conversations can be assigned over the API.

### Does this support WhatsApp voice calls?
No. This product is for WhatsApp messaging only.
