Convo AI adds an AI chat widget to your WordPress site. The bot answers visitors from your knowledge base, and when a person is needed the chat moves to your team in the Convo AI inbox.

## What you set up

| You have | Do this | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Any WordPress site | Add the chat widget embed code to your site | [Install the Chat Widget](https://edesy.in/docs/wordpress/install) |
| A WooCommerce store | Also connect your store, so conversations can use order and customer data | [Connect WooCommerce](https://edesy.in/docs/wordpress/install/woocommerce) |

Both steps take a few minutes and need no developer.

## Before you start

- A Convo AI account. Sign up free at [convo.edesy.in](https://convo.edesy.in).
- Admin access to your WordPress site, so you can add code to the site header.
- For WooCommerce: permission to create WooCommerce REST API keys.

## How the widget is configured

The embed code only identifies your widget. Everything else (colours, position, greeting, business hours, pre-chat form) is managed in the Convo AI dashboard under **Engage → Chat Widgets**, and changes reach your site without editing WordPress again.

## Next steps

1. [Install the chat widget](https://edesy.in/docs/wordpress/install) on your WordPress site.
2. If you sell with WooCommerce, [connect your store](https://edesy.in/docs/wordpress/install/woocommerce).
3. Add your FAQs and help articles to the knowledge base, so the bot can answer from them.
