Two operations matter and are often missing elsewhere: you can reveal the current password when configuring a device, and you can rotate it. Rotation without re-provisioning is what makes it realistic to change a credential after someone leaves, instead of leaving it in place for years because changing it is disruptive.

What is SIP trunking?
