Edesy Collect

How Edesy Collect works - automated payment-reminder voice calls in India with a per-debtor retry ladder, caller-ID rotation from a small number pool, attempt caps, calling hours and stop-on-payment.

Edesy Collect places automated payment-reminder calls to your debtors. You upload debtors with their due date and amount, write one reminder message, and Collect calls each person inside calling hours, retries on a capped ladder, rotates the caller ID across a small pool of your numbers, and stops calling a debtor as soon as you mark them paid.

How it works#

  1. Complete KYC and choose a plan. Uploading debtors and starting a campaign both need an approved KYC. Plans are paid monthly by Razorpay auto-pay. See Plans and Pricing.
  2. Set up a number pool. Buy or add 2 to 4 caller-ID numbers and pick a rotation strategy. See Number Pools and Rotation.
  3. Create a reminder campaign with a fallback caller ID, the pool, and attempt caps. See Schedules, Caps and Calling Hours.
  4. Save the reminder message. It is rendered to audio once and replayed on every call. See Reminder Message and Voice.
  5. Upload debtors as phone,name,due_date,amount lines or through the API. See Upload Debtors.
  6. Start the campaign. Each debtor's first call is at the next calling-window open; later attempts follow the gap and daily cap you set. See Start a Campaign.
  7. Stop on payment. Mark a debtor paid, promised or stopped in the portal, through the API, or from your payment system with the payment webhook.

What Collect does not do today#

  • It plays one message per campaign. Per-debtor text (reading out each person's amount or date) is not available yet.
  • Reminders start from upload, inside calling hours. Scheduling by due-date offset (for example 3 days before the due date) is not available yet.
  • It does not talk to the debtor or take a payment on the call. It plays the reminder; you record payment status.
  • Collect does not receive your Razorpay payment events by itself. Your server forwards them to the payment webhook.

FAQ#

What is Edesy Collect? An automated voice-call service for payment and EMI reminders. It calls each debtor with your recorded-style reminder message, retries on a capped schedule inside calling hours, rotates caller IDs, and stops once the debtor is marked paid.

Do I need KYC? Yes. Collect calls third parties, so uploading debtors and starting a campaign both return 403 KYC_NOT_APPROVED until your KYC is approved. Review usually takes about 24 hours.

How much does it cost? Plans start at Rs 1,499 a month, which includes one caller-ID number and roughly 1,000 connected calls. Unanswered calls are free. Prices exclude 18% GST. See Plans and Pricing.

Why rotate caller IDs? A debtor who has blocked or ignores one number can still be reached from another. Collect gives each retry to a debtor a number that debtor has not seen yet, and keeps pools small so the set is less likely to be spam-flagged.

Can Collect call at night? No. Calling hours are clamped to 09:00 to 21:00 IST on the server, whatever you request. The default window is 09:00 to 20:00.

How do I stop calls when someone pays? Click Paid in the portal, call POST/v1/collect/contacts/:id/paid, or send POST/v1/collect/webhooks/payment from your payment system. See Mark Paid, Promised or Stopped.

Does it support Hindi? The message is spoken as you write it by the chosen voice. Pick a voice that suits your debtors' language and test with a short campaign to your own number first.

Is there an API? Yes. Every portal action is an endpoint under https://voice-api.edesy.in/v1/collect. See the API overview.
