Numbers are managed against trunks as their own objects: created, listed, updated and removed. The operationally important part is that a number's trunk assignment can change. You can move a published number to a different trunk during a migration, and the people dialling it never know anything happened.
Bring your own PBX
Standard SIP
API included
Attach numbers to a trunk and change which trunk each one points at, without republishing the number.
Move numbers between trunks
Migrate a live number to a new trunk without the number itself changing.
Numbers managed as a set
List and inspect every number on the account rather than tracking them elsewhere.
Update assignments in place
Change where a number delivers without deleting and recreating it.
Remove what you no longer need
Numbers can be removed cleanly when a line is retired.
End to end, in the order it actually happens.
Add a number to the account.

Worth knowing before you build a process around it.

Department-specific lines
Consolidating numbers after a merger
Trunk Provisioning

Learn moreTrunk Call Logs
See the calls that actually crossed your trunk, which is where troubleshooting and invoice reconciliation both start.

Number availability differs by city and number type. Activation is subject to the identity verification Indian telecom rules require - see the virtual number activation process. Porting an existing number in from another provider should not be assumed.

SIP trunking is a method of delivering voice calls over the internet using the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). It replaces traditional PRI/ISDN lines, connecting your PBX or contact center to the public telephone network (PSTN) via an internet connection.
SIP trunking uses internet connectivity instead of physical copper lines. It offers elastic capacity (add or remove channels instantly), lower cost per minute, geographic flexibility, and no need for on-premise telco equipment. PRI lines are fixed at 30 channels and require hardware installation.
Elastic SIP trunking with per-minute pricing. Connect the PBX you already run.
