Landbot has one of the best visual flow builders in the chatbot industry. The canvas is genuinely beautiful, the flow logic is intuitive, and the design quality of the bots you produce is high. For web chat or multi-channel chatbots, Landbot is a strong pick.
The brand is mature, the documentation is excellent, and the community is active. If you're building a chatbot strategy that spans web + WhatsApp + other channels with a focus on conversational design quality, Landbot's heritage shows in good ways.
Landbot's web-chat heritage shows up in WhatsApp-specific capability gaps. Voice messages — huge on WhatsApp, irrelevant on web chat — aren't supported. Code-mix language detection (Hinglish, etc.) — critical for Indian markets — isn't supported. WhatsApp carousel templates — relatively new format, very useful — only have limited Landbot support.
Edesy was built WhatsApp-first. Every feature is designed around how WhatsApp actually works for real businesses: voice notes from real customers, multilingual code-mix from actual conversations, carousel templates for actual catalog browsing. The depth on WhatsApp specifically is meaningfully better.
The Indian market dimension is particularly stark. Most Indian WhatsApp customers prefer regional languages, send voice notes, and use code-mix freely. Landbot's web-chat-centric design doesn't address these patterns. Edesy's WhatsApp-first design does.
Pricing for WhatsApp-heavy use cases: Edesy is pass-through on Meta fees; Landbot's pricing tiers include their conversation-based add-ons that effectively mark up WhatsApp messaging. At scale, the difference is significant.
Web chat is your primary channel, multi-channel strategy with WhatsApp as one channel among many, design quality of the bot UI is a top priority, English-only / Western markets.
