Flow Templates

The 13 ready-made IVR Studio templates, from a greeting and hang-up to COD order confirmation in Hindi, and what each one does.

3 min read

IVR Studio has 13 templates that create a ready-to-edit draft flow: simple greetings, voicemail, keypad menus, forwarding, AI voice agents, language selection, a 1-5 feedback survey, API-driven order confirmation, COD confirmation in Hindi or English, and a reject-all flow. Pick one when you create a flow, adjust the wording and numbers, then test and publish.

How templates work#

  1. Choose New flow and pick a template.
  2. A draft flow is created with the template's nodes and connections.
  3. The builder shows what needs your input (for example "Open each Transfer node and enter the phone number").
  4. Edit, test and publish.

A template is only a starting point. After it is created, the flow is yours to change.

Template details#

Order confirmation (API + HTTP)#

Start, Play (your audio), then a Menu:

  • 1: HTTP Request, background mode, POST to your confirm endpoint, then "Confirmed" and hang up.
  • 2: HTTP Request, wait mode, POST to your cancel endpoint. Success: "Cancelled". Failure: "Please try later".
  • 3: Transfer to an agent.
  • timeout: hang up.

Trigger calls with POST/v1/ivr/calls and pass variables such as order_id.

COD confirmation (Hindi and English)#

Start, Config (language), Say (greeting with {{var.customer_name}}, {{var.store_name}}, {{var.order_name}} and the amount), then a Menu:

  • 1: Order Action confirm, waiting for the result. Success and Failure each get their own message.
  • 2: Order Action cancel, waiting for the result.
  • timeout: a no-input message and hang up.

In the Hindi template, check that the greeting uses {{var.cod_amount_hindi}} for the amount. If it shows {{var.cod_amount}}, replace it: TTS voices can misread digits inside a Hindi sentence, and the _hindi variable spells the amount out in words. See Order Action.
