How to get a clean PDF from plain text

Save as PDF keeps text sharp

Save as PDF opens your browser print dialog with the page size, orientation and margins already set. Choose "Save as PDF" as the destination and the result is a real PDF with selectable, searchable text, not a picture of the text.

Indian languages

Many simple text-to-PDF converters draw each character on its own, which breaks Devanagari, Bengali and Tamil: vowel signs float and conjuncts fall apart. This tool lets your browser lay out the text, the same way it does on web pages, so the PDF reads correctly. The Noto fonts are downloaded only for the scripts your text uses.

If characters look wrong after opening a file

The tool reads UTF-8 and, when the file starts with a byte order mark, UTF-16. Files saved in an older encoding (for example ANSI or Windows-1252) show replacement characters; the tool warns you when this happens. Re-save the file as UTF-8 in your text editor and open it again.
