Short answer: in India a missed call service costs a monthly number rental plus a small charge per captured call. The typical market range is ₹0.20 to ₹0.50 per event. On Edesy a number is ₹499/month + ₹0.30 per event delivered to your webhook, the log and CSV are free without a webhook, and the Unlimited plan is ₹1,498/month per number. Add 18% GST to everything.
How Missed Call Pricing Is Structured
Almost every Indian provider prices on some mix of three things:
| Component | What it pays for | Typical form |
|---|---|---|
| Number rental | Keeping a dedicated number live | Monthly or yearly fee |
| Per-event charge | Each captured call, or each one delivered to your system | Paise per event |
| Bundles or unlimited | Predictable cost at high volume | Fixed monthly fee with fair use |
Some providers bundle an SMS reply or credits into their packs; compare like for like and check each provider's current pricing page rather than relying on old quotes.

The Break-Even Point: About 3,330 Events per Number
Unlimited costs ₹999 more per month than plain rental. At ₹0.30 per event:
₹999 / ₹0.30 = 3,330 events per number per month
- Below about 3,330 webhook events a month: pay as you go is cheaper.
- Above it: Unlimited is cheaper, and the gap widens quickly.
- If you do not use a webhook at all, pay as you go costs only rental at any volume, but you work leads from the dashboard and CSV rather than in real time.
Worked Examples
1,000 missed calls a month, one number
| Setup | Before GST | With 18% GST |
|---|---|---|
| PAYG, no webhook (CSV only) | ₹499 | ₹588.82 |
| PAYG with webhook | ₹499 + ₹300 = ₹799 | ₹942.82 |
| Unlimited | ₹1,498 | ₹1,767.64 |
Pick: pay as you go. If your team works from a daily CSV, you pay only rental.
10,000 missed calls a month, one number
| Setup | Before GST | With 18% GST |
|---|---|---|
| PAYG, no webhook | ₹499 | ₹588.82 |
| PAYG with webhook | ₹499 + ₹3,000 = ₹3,499 | ₹4,128.82 |
| Unlimited | ₹1,498 | ₹1,767.64 |
Pick: Unlimited if you want real-time delivery to a CRM. You are well past the 3,330 break-even.
1,00,000 missed calls a month
At this volume the response usually comes in bursts (TV, rallies, launches), and each number has a cap on simultaneous calls. So the realistic setup is several numbers. Example with four numbers, 25,000 events each:
| Setup | Before GST | With 18% GST |
|---|---|---|
| PAYG with webhook | 4 x ₹499 + ₹30,000 = ₹31,996 | ₹37,755.28 |
| Unlimited x 4 | 4 x ₹1,498 = ₹5,992 | ₹7,070.56 |
Even on a single number, 1,00,000 webhook events cost ₹30,499 on pay as you go versus ₹1,498 on Unlimited (exactly at the fair-use limit).
Above fair use
One number receiving 1,50,000 events in a month on Unlimited: ₹1,498 + (50,000 x ₹0.10) = ₹6,498 before GST.

Cost per Lead, Not Cost per Call
The real metric is what each unique, worked lead costs you:
- Every call is a separate event. One person calling three times is three events.
- The dashboard shows unique callers; use that to compute cost per lead.
- De-duplicate repeat callers in your CRM or sheet before follow-up.
Example: 10,000 events from 7,000 unique callers on Unlimited costs ₹1,498, or about ₹0.21 per unique lead before GST. The same on pay as you go with a webhook is ₹3,499, or ₹0.50 per unique lead.

KYC Requirements
Indian telecom rules require identity verification before a number is issued. Review is usually done within 24 hours.
| Business type | Documents |
|---|---|
| Individual | PAN + Aadhaar |
| Proprietor | PAN + Aadhaar + address proof |
| Partnership / LLP | PAN, registration, authorisation letter, address proof |
| Private / public limited | All of the above + GST certificate |
How to Keep the Bill Low
- Skip the webhook for small campaigns. Work the CSV and pay only rental.
- Move to Unlimited past about 3,330 events a month on any single number.
- Prepay the rental if the campaign runs longer than three months.
- Retire numbers when campaigns end; rental is per number.
- Make sure your webhook endpoint returns 2xx. Failed deliveries are refunded, but retries and replays create work you do not need.
Comparing Providers
Check current pricing directly with each provider. When you compare, ask:
- Is the per-event charge on every call, or only on events delivered to your system?
- Is there a monthly minimum or a bundle you must buy?
- What happens to leads when your balance runs out?
- Is the webhook signed and retried, and are failed deliveries charged?
- Is GST included in the quoted price?
