Question 1

Is Edesy a good alternative to Exotel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Edesy offers Prepaid per-minute INR wallet, Outbound call API with per-call variables, Recorded prompts in any language, Flexible call flows - making it an excellent Exotel alternative.

Question 2

Can I migrate from Exotel to Edesy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our team helps you rebuild your IVR flows and either set up new numbers or forward your existing ones.

Question 3

What is IVR and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

IVR (Interactive Voice Response) is a technology that allows callers to interact with a phone system using keypad inputs (Edesy menus take keypad input; speech input is on the roadmap). When someone calls, they hear pre-recorded prompts and can navigate menus to reach the right department or get automated information.

Question 4

How long does IVR setup take?

Accepted Answer

Basic IVR setup can be done in under 30 minutes with our visual flow builder. More complex multi-level systems with integrations typically take 1-2 days to configure and test.

Question 5

Can I use my existing phone number?

Accepted Answer

Most customers buy a new virtual number in the dashboard (KYC required). To keep an existing number, forward it to your Edesy number, or talk to us about porting.
