Save as PDF opens your browser print dialog with the page size, orientation and margins already set. Choose "Save as PDF" as the destination and you get a real PDF with selectable, searchable text.
With orientation on Auto, tables with more than six columns print in landscape. "Shrink text to fit" lowers the font size (down to 6 pt) until the columns fit the page width; long cell text wraps. If a table is still too cramped, untick columns you do not need or pick A3 paper.
Cells print as Excel displays them, with number and date formats applied. Formulas show the result saved in the file. Charts, images, colours, fonts and merged-cell layout are not reproduced: for an exact copy of the sheet, use Save as PDF or Download as PDF in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice.
