Can this make my thumb impression?

A photo of my inked thumb on paper

The paper and shadows are removed and only the ink is kept.

The form needs N x N pixels within a KB range

Use a preset or enter the size; the JPG is made to fit, padded up to any minimum.

A biometric fingerprint scan

Biometric capture needs a fingerprint scanner at a centre. This tool only prepares an ink impression photo.

Creating an impression without inking my thumb

The tool never generates prints. Make a real impression with a stamp pad first.

Features

  • Removes paper, shadows and uneven light from phone photos

  • Keeps the real ridges of your print - it never draws or generates one

  • Recolour the ink: blue, black, violet or red

  • Form JPG on white at exact pixels, DPI and KB range, or transparent PNG

  • IBPS preset (240 x 240 px, 200 DPI, 20-50 KB) or your own size

  • Take the photo with your phone camera or upload one

Where you need a thumb impression

Bank exam applications

IBPS and other bank recruitment forms ask for a left thumb impression alongside photo and signature.

Government and exam forms

Many online applications need a scanned thumb impression within a fixed KB range.

Documents and declarations

Place a clean, transparent impression on a declaration you are preparing.

How to get a clean thumb impression

Taking the photo

  • Use a stamp pad with blue or black ink and press your thumb firmly, rolling slightly so the whole pad prints.
  • Print on plain white paper. Let it dry for a minute so it does not smudge.
  • Photograph straight from above in daylight or under a bright light. Avoid your phone casting a shadow over the print.
  • Fill a good part of the photo with the print, but keep some white paper around it.

If the result looks wrong

  • Ridges broken or patchy: move Sensitivity towards "Fainter ink", or take a new print with more ink.
  • Grey smudges around the print: move Sensitivity towards "Dark ink only".
  • Nothing detected: the print may be too faint or the photo too dark. Retake it in better light.

Matching the form

Upload forms check the pixel size and file size. The IBPS preset follows the left thumb impression rules in the official IBPS notification (JPG, 240 x 240 px at 200 DPI, 20-50 KB). For any other form, choose "Custom size" and enter the numbers from its instructions.

Need your photo and signature too? Use the passport size photo maker and the signature resizer.
