Video Link to MP3: Convert a Video URL to Audio

Paste a share link from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, or a direct link to a video file, and download its audio as MP3, WAV or M4A. YouTube, Instagram and other streaming sites are not supported: their terms do not allow downloading, so we do not fetch them. If you have the video, upload the file instead.

Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive share links (set to “Anyone with the link”) and direct file links (ending in .mp4, .mov, .webm, etc.) work, up to 100 MB. Links are downloaded and converted on our server, then deleted. YouTube, Instagram and other streaming sites aren't supported.

Have the video file on your device? Convert it in your browser instead.

Will my video link work?

A Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive share link

Works when the file is shared with "Anyone with the link" and is under 100 MB.

A direct link ending in .mp4, .mov, .webm or similar

Paste it as it is.

A YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or X link

We do not download from streaming and social sites. Upload a copy of the video you have instead.

Convert a video file

Share the single video with "Anyone with the link", or download it and upload the file.

Your own uploads and podcasts

How converting a video link works

Why YouTube and Instagram links do not work

YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Vimeo, X and Twitch do not offer their videos as files, and their terms of service do not allow downloading them with other tools. So this tool refuses those links instead of pretending to convert them.

If the video is yours, download it from the platform's own export (for example YouTube Studio or Instagram's "Download your information") and upload the file. Otherwise, a link to a file in your own cloud storage works.

What happens to the link

Your browser cannot download a file from another website on its own, so our server fetches the link, extracts the audio and sends it back to you. Share links from Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive are turned into their direct download links first. The video is deleted from our server after conversion.

For privacy, the server only fetches public internet addresses. It will not fetch local or internal addresses.

Getting the link right

  • Google Drive: open the file, choose Share, set General access to "Anyone with the link", then Copy link. Folder links will not work; share the single video.
  • Dropbox: choose Copy link on the file. The tool switches it from preview to download for you.
  • OneDrive: choose Share, allow "Anyone with the link", then Copy. Work and school accounts may block public links; ask your admin or download and upload the file.
  • Over 100 MB? Download the video and use Video to MP3, which converts files in your browser.
  • Want to remove the vocals as well? Try the Vocal Remover. Need a different audio format? Use the Audio Converter.
