GST Invoice Requirements
Mandatory Fields
- Supplier name and GSTIN
- Invoice number (unique, sequential)
- Invoice date
- Customer details
- HSN/SAC codes
- Item descriptions
- Quantity and unit
- Taxable value
- Tax rates and amounts
- Total amount
For B2B Invoices
- Customer GSTIN required
- Place of supply
- Reverse charge applicability
Tax Calculation
Intra-State (Same State)
- CGST: Half of GST rate
- SGST: Half of GST rate
- Example: 18% GST = 9% CGST + 9% SGST
Inter-State (Different States)
- IGST: Full GST rate
- Example: 18% GST = 18% IGST
Best Practices
