Call attempts = COD orders x attempts per order.
Billed minutes = attempts x call length in minutes. With per-second billing a 40-second call is 0.67 minutes; with per-started-minute billing it is 1 minute.
Monthly cost = billed minutes x per-minute rate + attempts x per-call fee.
Cost per COD order = monthly cost / COD orders.
The calculator treats every attempt as an answered call of average length, so it errs high. Unanswered attempts are usually shorter.
The customer hears their order and amount, then presses 1 to confirm or 2 to cancel. The answer is written back to the store, so only confirmed orders are packed and shipped. See how it works.
