FAQ widget FAQ

What is an FAQ widget?

A ready-made block of questions and answers that you paste into a page. Each question expands to show its answer, so visitors find what they need without scrolling through long text.

Will FAQ schema give my page rich results in Google?

Probably not on its own. Since August 2023, Google shows FAQ rich results only for well-known, authoritative government and health websites. The schema still describes your questions and answers clearly to search engines and AI assistants, and it is harmless to include.

Which code should I use?

Use the Recommended plain HTML in most cases: it has no JavaScript, loads instantly, and its text and schema are part of your page for search engines. Use the hosted one-line code if you want the search box.

How do I paste many questions at once?

Open Paste Many at Once and paste text with each question starting with Q: and each answer with A:. You can also paste blocks separated by a blank line, where the first line is the question.

I already have FAQ schema on my page. What should I do?

Turn off Add FAQ schema for Google, so the page doesn't carry two FAQPage blocks for the same content.

Does it work on Wix?

Yes, through Embed HTML. Wix shows embeds inside a frame, so add FAQ schema through Wix's own SEO settings instead.
