Like slowing down a record, the speed slider changes both tempo and pitch. At 0.85x a song plays 15% slower and sounds about 3 semitones lower. That lower, heavier sound is the point of a slowed edit. If you want to change speed without changing pitch, use Audio Speed Changer with "preserve pitch" on.
Reverb adds a sense of space. Size sets how long the echo tail lasts (0.5 to 6 seconds); amount sets how much of it you hear compared with the original. The reverb is generated, not a recording of a real hall.
The low-pass filter cuts the high frequencies so the song sounds muffled, as if through a wall. Lower cutoff values sound more muffled.
