An experience letter for a sales executive follows the standard experience certificate format. What makes it useful to the next employer is the role detail: territory, the kind of selling and how targets were handled.
Below are three sales samples (sales executive, business development executive and field sales), the responsibility lines for each that you can paste into a generator, and guidance on mentioning targets without overstating them.
Want it done in two minutes? Use the free experience letter generator: pick a tone, paste the responsibility lines from this page, and download a PDF or Word file.

Sales letters tempt people to add big numbers. The next employer may verify them, so:
- Describe the responsibility, e.g. "handled a monthly sales target for the Pune territory". That is always safe.
- Add a figure only if it comes from company records, e.g. "achieved 112% of the annual target in FY 2025-26".
- Use the Achievements field in the generator for awards such as "Top Performer, Q3".
- Never invent numbers. An experience letter is a company document, and a false claim can cost the job offer.
Experience letter or relieving letter?
Sales employees often need both when they move: the experience letter describes the role, and the relieving letter confirms you have been released. See experience letter vs relieving letter, or make the second one with the relieving letter generator.
