In-hand salary for common CTCs (Tax year 2026-27, new regime)

Assumes basic is 40% of CTC, HRA is 50% of basic, PF is 12% of basic up to Rs 15,000 a month, professional tax is Rs 2,400 a year, and gratuity is not part of CTC.

What comes out of your CTC

  • Employer PF and gratuity are part of CTC but are not paid to you each month.
  • Employee PF (12% of basic) and professional tax are deducted from your salary.
  • Income tax (TDS) is deducted monthly. Under the new regime, a salary up to about Rs 12.75 lakh has no tax because of the Rs 75,000 standard deduction and the Rs 60,000 rebate.
  • Bonuses, variable pay and reimbursements are not part of monthly in-hand unless your employer pays them monthly.
