The Call Recording Disclosure Generator writes the lines a caller hears about call recording: an opening disclosure, an optional AI disclosure, purpose and opt-out lines, and a reply for callers who object.
This is wording help, not legal advice.
How to Use#
- Enter your Business name.
- Choose Why you record and Who says it: IVR prompt, AI voice agent or human agent.
- Choose Language (English, Hindi or Hinglish), Length (Short or Full) and Recording (May be recorded or Is recorded).
- Pick an Opt-out line: None, Press 9 if you prefer the call not recorded, or Ask us to stop recording.
- Review the table, then use Copy all lines or Download .txt.
Inputs#
- Business name: spoken in the opening line. Left empty, the lines show a
{{company}}placeholder. Human agent wording also includes an{{agent_name}}placeholder. - Why you record: quality and training, customer support, sales or enquiry, payment reminder or collections, or verification and KYC.
- Recording: choose "Is recorded" if every call is recorded. Scripts for an AI voice agent always say "is recorded".
- Length: Short puts the purpose inside the opening sentence. Full adds a separate purpose line and a longer AI disclosure that offers a person on your team.
Reading the results#
The output table follows this order:
Opening disclosure = greeting + recording line
(AI voice agent: greeting + automated-assistant line + recording line)
Purpose line (Full length only)
Opt-out line (if chosen)
If the caller objects = offer of a callback or details on WhatsApp
The downloaded file is named call-recording-disclosure-<language>.txt and holds the same labelled lines.
Things to know#
- Play the opening before anything else is said, in the caller's language.
- Only offer press 9 if your IVR sends that key to a path that does not record. With a human agent, the tool suggests the "Ask us to stop recording" option instead.
- For an AI voice agent the automated-assistant line is always included, in the opening, before the recording notice. Callers should know they are speaking with an automated assistant.
- Hinglish is written in Latin script for teams reading from a screen. For a recorded Hindi prompt, the Devanagari version is read more reliably by text-to-speech.
- Check the rules for your sector with your compliance adviser.
