How do I type in Hindi by voice?

How do I add punctuation in Hindi?

In Hindi, say "पूर्ण विराम" for । and "अल्पविराम" for a comma, or "नई लाइन" for a new line. The punctuation buttons work too.

Can I mix English words while speaking Hindi?

Usually yes: common English words are often written as they are pronounced in Devanagari script. If one comes out wrong, fix it in the box.

Is my voice recorded or sent to you?

Not to us. The browser's own speech service turns your voice into text (in Chrome that is Google's), and the text stays in this page. Nothing is saved after you close it.

Which browsers does it work in?

Chrome and Edge, on Android, Windows and Mac, support the most languages. Safari supports fewer Indian languages. Firefox does not include speech recognition.

Speak at a normal pace in a quiet place, a little closer to the microphone than usual.
Pause between sentences; the text is added each time you finish a phrase.
Proper nouns and rare words can come out wrong: fix them in the box, it stays editable.
Allow microphone access when the browser asks. If you blocked it, allow it from the lock icon next to the address.

What you get in Hindi

The text comes out in Devanagari script, as Unicode, so it works in WhatsApp, Word, Gmail and any website. For example, saying a greeting gives: नमस्ते, आप कैसे हैं?
